Browns Waste Ltd Acquires Brianplant (Humberside) Ltd – Waste Transfer Station

Family run company, Browns Skip Hire, has taken over the running of the Brianplant Waste Transfer Station, on Wickham Road, Grimsby Fish Docks.

This acquisition does not affect or include the wider Brianplant business and only includes the Skip Hire / Waste division of the company.

The official announcement was made on 1st January 2022 as the new operation is now underway. This acquisition has been in discussion for almost 12 months. Time was taken to strengthen the relationship between the two companies, share information about working practices to ensure that all existing customers have a smooth transition.

The acquisition of the Waste Transfer Station fits into the Browns Skip Hire strategy of expansion locally. Given our longstanding relationship with Brianplant, this seemed to be a natural move that’ll allow us to provide a better service to customers.

Browns will be making a considerable investment into processes, people and plant to ensure both residential and commercial customers will benefit from an improved service.

All Brianplant account customers were contacted in November 2021 to discuss this transition.

Brianplant provided both commercial and residential customers with skip hire, including the hire of midi, mini and builders skips, in and around the Lincolnshire area. Particularly, Grimsby, Cleethorpes and the surrounding areas.
